At Walk [Your City], we help communities nationwide plan, create, and install street signs for people, showing folks “it’s not too far!” to walk or bike to everyday destinations. With support from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, we’ve been working alongside community members and city staff to develop standards for larger neighborhood campaigns city-wide in Raleigh and Durham.

We’d love to hear from you! If you have feedback on the current campaigns — or suggestions for the future — connect with us on Facebook or Twitter.

Walk [Raleigh]
Walk [Raleigh] supports the City’s goals for pedestrian accessibility and education by showing a variety of opportunities to walk (and bike!) in one of the US’ fastest-growing cities. The four planned campaigns encourage both residents and visitors to experience the city on foot, reframing Raleigh’s streets as places for people -- not just cars. Walk [Your City] got its start in downtown Raleigh, and we’re thrilled to see our initial project come full circle with Walk [Raleigh], supported by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
Walk [Durham]
Walk [Durham] reflects the city’s commitment to supporting pedestrians as Durham grows and evolves: with new development projects come plenty of new opportunities to promote downtown connectivity and “streets for people”! We’re excited to work with Durham residents to bring Walk [Your City] to their community, highlighting local gems and making it a bit easier to explore in and around downtown, with support from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
